Pregnancy Love Month: #11: ‘Rock The Bump’

Focusing on #Pregnancy Love, I want to take a moment to celebrate

Rocking the Baby Bump!

When I think about Maternity Wear/ Fashion , I am impressed. Styles have evolved to women showcasing the beauty of the baby bump.

I reflect on the 1950’s when Maternity Wear was more along these lines:

                              (pictures from google.com – BlogSpot-a little bit of everything & time-go.ru & pixabay.com)

While 1950s maternity fashion was  cute. (I am slightly bias , as I love anything vintage. ) Fashion was focused on loose flowing clothes that camouflaged the pregnancy.

Today, instead of hiding the bump, we can CELEBRATE the baby bump.img_7321img_7320

There are so many stylish , cute, chic, elegant maternity fashion.

You are Not Alone!

img_7236

You walk with the glow of confidence , knowing your baby is with you. You can feel their kicks , rolls and flutters. Your love for them is already all consuming!

Your Pregnancy Journey, is miraculous. It is the one time in your life  where you physically walk with the one you love every day, every moment , every breath. It is the time in your life where you are truly helping with the miracle of life. A time in your life where you are sustaining and nurturing your little one-without even touching them .

This pregnancy journey is a precious time as you connect and bond with your little one, even while they are still in utero. It is AMAZING when you think about when you are pregnant; your baby can hear your heartbeat from the inside, feel your emotions and form a connection that is far greater than anything you could imagine.

Today, celebrate #pregnancylove ,

celebrate the pregnancy journey

that let you walk

heartbeat to heartbeat

with the one you love

who’s within.

Pregnancy Love: #8: Dreaming of Your Baby to Be !

Focusing on #Pregnancy Love,

I want to take a moment to celebrate

dreaming about the baby you

will soon meet!

Pregnancy is an opportunity to dream. Dream about your hopes, promises, future and who your baby will be.

Is the baby a boy or girl? Tall or Short? Dark hair or light hair? Freckles or none?

The truth is it doesn’t matter- Whoever your baby is and will become is

perfection.

Personally , I think this is the perfect thing to celebrate during #Pregnancy Love Month. From the moment you begin to attempt to conceive to that positive pregnancy test and throughout your entire pregnancy- You are dreaming.

Dreaming about when you will become pregnant. When you become pregnant , you dream about how you will tell everyone. How your pregnancy journey will be. You dream about your labor and delivery story. Most important you dream about this baby who is more than “just a baby” , this is your baby. During your pregnancy you not only “see” your baby, you see your future with your child. The places you will go, the things you will do, your new family dynamic; the hopes and dreams you will have for this child

Every moment will be perfect because they are yours.

So for this #Pregnancy Love Moment

Celebrate the dreams that are within you

for your pregnancy

for your future

for your baby

Happy Dreaming!

Pregnancy Love : #6 : Glorious Hair

Focusing on #Pregnancy Love, I want to take a moment to celebrate

having

GLORIOUS HAIR

during pregnancy!

Long , short, curly, straight, brown ,blonde, red or black! Hair during pregnancy is GLORIOUS!

Thank you hormones, especially estrogen ! These hormones cause your hair to grow thicker and stronger. Also during pregnancy , your hair does not go through the natural phase of growth, resting  and hair fall.  The hairs remain giving you longer, thicker Glorious Hair!

Unfortunately, this Glorious Hair does not last. After you have your baby, the hair that did not fall out with pregnancy tends to shed. This occurs as your body returns to its pre-pregnancy state and hormones return to normal levels.

However, for now , Celebrate #PregnancyLove Month and Swish that glorious hair as you rock your baby bump!

Pregnancy Love : #4: First Ultrasound

Focusing on #Pregnancy Love, I want to take a moment to celebrate

Seeing   your

Baby

For the First Time

on

Ultrasound

img_7048

It is a wonderful feeling to know you are pregnant, to have feel pregnancy symptoms and know there is life within. Take that feeling and multiply it by 100- when you have your first ultrasound and you can “see your baby“.

That is why today for #Pregnancy Love Month, I want to celebrate that first ultrasound. An ultrasound is used to monitor pregnancy and to diagnose and monitor medical conditions that are not related to pregnancy (American College of  Obstetricians and Gynecolologist (ACOG), 2017).

This is a moment when your pregnancy becomes tangible. A connection between knowing you are pregnant and “knowing’ you are pregnant. Your first ultrasound is an  opportunity to ‘ see’ your baby. You may receive your first ultrasound at 7-8 weeks for a dating ultrasound. Do not be surprise if your baby looks like a “little bean”. Your doctor may schedule your  first ultrasound for an Anatomy ultrasound around 18-22 weeks, which is also called a Fetal Survey. This is the ultrasound where the doctor can see your baby in its entirety organs, bones, growth, and gender if  you desire.

  img_7075

                                                                 https://pixabay.com/photo-470514/

Whenever, you have your first ultrasound, CELEBRATE IT! This is the moment you can see that  your baby is thriving inside of you.

Celebrate your baby that you are ‘seeing’ . Celebrate your baby that  you are helping  blossom and become who he/she was born to be. Celebrate ‘seeing’ a dream come true!

Celebrate another reason to Love Pregnancy!

Do you remember your first ultrasound?  Do you have an ultrasound story to tell. Comment below. I would love to hear from you!

Pregnancy Love : #3:First Baby’s Flutter

Focusing on #Pregnancy Love, I want to take a moment to celebrate

Feeling  your

Baby’s

First Flutter

Your baby’s first flutter you feel is a moment to be celebrated this month.

That first flutter may leave you wondering : Is it gas? A twinge? Movement? Your imagination? Don’t worry moms , that flutter will soon turn into kicks and rolls – you may even be able to tell if its is a foot or hand 🙂

First time moms may feel this movement the first time around 18  to 20 weeks gestation. While moms-to-be again may feel this movement earlier(https://emedicine.medscape.com/article/259724-overview#a2).

img_7048
https://pixabay.com/photo-3083446

(DISCLAIMER: Please speak with your doctor about all concerns/questions regarding what is normal for your pregnancy).

This is a wonderful part of pregnancy to celebrate during # Pregnancy Love Month. That first felt baby movement is a moment you will always remember. From that moment on you will not only know your little one is inside, you will also feel your baby move.

Enjoy the moment ,  Enjoy the journey , Enjoy pregnancy

as you celebrate
